Club History

Our journey from 1972 to today

Club Background & Legacy

Founded in 1972 and affiliated with WPHU in 1973, Milnerton Hockey Club has grown tremendously over the past decade. In 2011, we began a strategic push to expand, growing from a modest club with 4 teams to now fielding:

Senior Men's

6 teams

Senior Ladies

5 teams

Junior Teams

8 teams

U11, U13, U15

Masters

2 teams

Over 35

Little League Program: A thriving program for underage players, nurturing the next generation of hockey talent.

Our top 3 men's and ladies' teams currently compete in the province's top-tier leagues (Grand Challenge, Grand Challenge Reserve, and Town Challenge), and we continue to produce provincial and national representatives.

Our Venues

While our clubhouse is based at Theo Marais Park, hockey's modern transition to astro turf has meant most of our fixtures are played at Hartleyvale Hockey Stadium. This has further strengthened our close relationship with the WPHU.
